Dr. Shannan Edwards

Dr. Shannan Edwards is a clinical psychologist, based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Her areas of interest include pet loss and grief, cognitive behavioral therapy, and anxiety disorders. She earned her PhD in clinical psychology from Georgia State University.  She completed her internship/residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center as well as a post-doctoral fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

LESLIE NICHOLS, LMSW


Leslie has a Masters degree in Social Work and a post Masters certificate in Veterinary Social Work. Over the last 24 years she has worked in various clinical settings, including the most recent, a veterinary hospital and specialty clinic. Leslie has provided therapeutic supports and services to individuals facing significant life changes and a variety of emotional, mental, and physical challenges. Leslie’s love of animals and interest in the human animal bond, led to her work in the area of pet loss and providing support to grieving pet parents.

FERNANDO RODRIGUEZ, MC

 

Fernando Rodriguez, MC, (He/Him/His) was born and raised in El Paso, TX, and has been working professionally throughout the southwest for the last 10 years. Fernando currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated from Arizona State University with a master in psychology and counseling psychology. In graduate school, he took on the leadership role as the Master of Counseling Student Organization (MCSO) co-chair for 2021-2022 and earned an outstanding psychology fellowship scholarship for his work on the impact counseling has on veterinarians and the veterinary profession in dealing with the suicide epidemic. Fernando is passionate about community service, involvement, and participation in key areas of professional interest with the Latinx and the LGBTQA+ community.
